Ninja Kaizen is now on Steam. Steam makes it easier to get the game and keeps it up to date through the store, so you always play the latest version without downloading installers again.

We also added Steam Achievements, so every ninja can show their worth to their friends. Your progress in Ninja Kaizen is reflected on your Steam profile as you climb through each achievement.

You Still Need a Ninja Kaizen Account

Ninja Kaizen keeps using its own sign-in. Steam does not replace your Ninja Kaizen account.
To play from Steam you need an account on the Ninja Kaizen servers. If you don't have one yet, create it from the game and verify your email.
You can keep playing with the same account on Windows, Android or iOS. Your progress is shared across all of them.

The First Account Gets Linked

The first time you start the game from Steam, the first Ninja Kaizen account you sign in with is linked to your Steam account.
That account is the only one that sends achievements to that Steam account.
A Steam account can be linked to only one Ninja Kaizen account, and a Ninja Kaizen account can be linked to only one Steam account.
Before you sign in from Steam for the first time, make sure you use your main account.

Links Are Permanent

A Steam account can't be unlinked from a Ninja Kaizen account.
This protects you: account selling is strictly forbidden, and a permanent link keeps your Steam data from ending up in someone else's hands.
If you have a special case, contact our support team at [email protected]. Every request is reviewed one by one, and the team decides whether the link can be changed. Sending a request does not guarantee a change.
If a link is ever removed or changed, the achievements already unlocked on that Steam account are not deleted. They stay on that Steam profile.

Steam Achievements

A Ninja Kaizen account can have more than one character, but Steam has only one set of achievements per Steam account. Steam achievements can only go up, never down.

That's why, for each achievement, Steam follows the character of your account with the most progress in it. If another character passes that progress, the new character becomes the reference for that achievement on Steam.

Each achievement is tracked on its own: one character can lead in Weapon Expert while another leads in Jutsu Master.
Steam shows the highest tier reached by any of your characters. Progress made by a character below that tier does not change Steam.
The achievement unlocks on Steam when a character completes all the tiers of that achievement.
When your account is linked, the progress you already had is sent to Steam. You don't lose what you earned before Steam.
Progress counts no matter where you play: Windows, Android or iOS.

Example

Your account has two characters, Kai and Rin. Let's follow the Weapon Expert achievement, which has 7 tiers (I to VII).

Rin only becomes the reference when Rin passes Kai. A tie does not change anything, and Steam never goes back down, even if you delete the character that held the reference.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I sign in with another account from Steam?

You can play with any of your accounts, but only the linked account sends achievements to your Steam profile. Remember that each player is allowed only one account, as stated in our Terms and Conditions.

Can I still use the Windows installers?

Yes. For now, the 64-bit and 32-bit Windows installers stay available on the download page, along with the Android and iOS versions. Steam is one more way to play, with automatic updates. Keep in mind that Steam does not support 32-bit systems.

Does Steam see my Ninja Kaizen password?

No. You sign in to Ninja Kaizen with your Ninja Kaizen account, as always. To link your account we only keep your Steam ID and your Steam profile name.

I signed in with the wrong account the first time. What now?

Contact support at [email protected] from the email of your Ninja Kaizen account, and tell us your Steam profile and both account names. The team will review your case.
